North Queensland Livestock Industry Recovery Agency
The North Queensland Livestock Industry Recovery Agency was announced by Prime Minister Scott Morrison on 1 March 2019 to assist with the immediate response, recovery and reconstruction efforts in support of North, Far North and Western Queensland communities affected by heavy rainfall and wide-spread flooding in early 2019.

Primary producers in North Queensland can now access disaster grants $25,000 up to $75,000 to assist with recovery efforts. Click HERE for further information.

Australian Government Initiative
The Disaster Recovery Allowance (DRA) provides income support payments to employees, primary producers and sole traders who can demonstrate they have experienced a loss of income as a direct result of the floods. Read more HERE.

Thursday 28th February, the State Government announced an $11 million aid package to assist farmers and communities affected by the North West Floods, which includes:
- Beef Industry Recovery Concessional Loans
- Flood Freight Subsidy Restocking and Agistment Scheme
- Biosecurity Entity Registration Fee Exemptions and
- Industry recovery officers and financial counsellors to help farm businesses
